- Sunlight Labs is collecting input on their design suggestions for data.gov – the US government’s upcoming clearinghouse for data. data.gov will be designed by USA CIO Vivek Kundra, formerly responsible for DC’s Digital Public Square.
- USA.gov, the co-ordinating agency for US government websites, has put together a candy-box of essays on open government and transparency as an Intragovernmental Newsletter. It's a comprehensive read - highly reccomended. (via @ajturner)
- The W3C has released its first working draft on “Improving Access to Government through Better Use of the Web”. The draft identifies three areas of interest:
- Usage and Web Standards
- Transparency and Participation
- Seamless Integration of Data

- Motivated by discussions at transparencycamp, the Sunlight Foundation has assembled a ‘Transparency Hub’ wiki, to assist with state-level transparency initiatives. The wiki includes links to articles and resources.
- In Canada, the NDP has successfully pushed for publishing MP voting records in machine readable formats on parl.gc.ca .
- The Liberal party has launched a site asking citizens what questions it should ask the Prime Minister. (via CivicAccess)
- ChangeCamp Ottawa will be held at City Hall, Saturday, May 16th.
- ChangeCamp Vancouver is accepting session applications for their event June 20th and 21st.
